  Job content

    • 3  month evaluation/probation period:

      During the 3 month evaluation period in Sri Lanka, your key responsibilities will be as follows:

      Convert 3D models into 2D drawings with Solidworks. Assemble 3D models of machines. Animate/ analyze machine assemblies, Designing machines or modifying designs. Studying machine design practices of the company. According to your skills, you may be given different tasks related to Machining, PLC programming, Wiring diagram designing, or microcontroller programming.

      If your performance is not satisfactory, your contract will be terminated before the end of the evaluation period.

    • After the evaluation period:

      At the end of the evaluation period, each employee will be assessed.  The contract will be renewed only for the selected employees based on their performance. Only if there is a vacancy in the Japan branch, you will be requested to come to work in Japan. Otherwise, you will have to continue working online. Your job content will rotate in many sections/ departments including machine design, electrical design, machine assembly, and machining workshop for 1 year until your Japanese language level gets improved. 

      After a year, you will be selected for either the department of machine design, machining, electrical design or factory automation according to your performance. 

  Position Requirements

 

      • Candidates with a BSc. Degree in the field of Mechanical/Mechatronics engineering or a relevant field.
      • Also considered: NDT/NDES/HNDE/OUSL or a similar Diploma (minimum 3 years long) in the field of Mechanical engineering or relevant field

  Compensation

 

      • Basic salary during evaluation period  –  LKR 100,000 

      • A monthly allowance of a maximum of LKR 15,000 will be paid for personal computer, internet connection, and medical insurance. 

  Software/Skills

 

      • Applicants should have knowledge of 2D and 3D drawing with Solidworks

      • Communication skill in English is a MUST.
      • People who have hands-on experience or knowledge in one or many of the following fields will be prioritized.
            • Machining
            • Microcontroller programming
            • Software/Database development
            • Electrical designing
            • Other skills such as Digital marketing

  Level of experience

 

      • Fresh graduates are welcome. Job experience is not required.

  Period of contract

 

      • Selected candidates have to work from home during the 3 month evaluation period in Sri Lanka. Individual employee performance is assessed during the evaluation period. The contract will be renewed only for the selected employees based on their performance.

      • After the 3-month evaluation period, the contract will be renewed for a further 1 year.
      • Renewal of the contract will be done continuously at the end of each 1 year contract period.

  Working Conditions

 

      • Mode of working:
        During the 3 month evaluation period in Sri Lanka, you will have to work online. During that period you will not be requested to be present at a physical office.    If you are requested to come to work in the Japan branch, you will have to work at the company office.

      • Working days: 

        1st,3rd and 5th week of each month. 6 days per week  (Holiday on Sunday only)
        2nd and 4th week of each month 5 days per week. (Holiday on Saturday and Sunday )

      • Working hours: In Sri Lanka, you have to work from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM in Sri Lankan time.  If you are requested to come to work in Japan, you will have to work from 8:00 AM to 5:00PM in Japan time.

  Other Requirements

 

      • During the 3 month probation period, you have to work from home. Therefore, only for the evaluation period, the candidate must have a desktop computer or a laptop that has performance, sufficient for working with Solidworks 2020 version. 

      • The candidate must have a web camera, mic (a laptop with an inbuilt camera and mic is also sufficient), and an internet connection for working from home and for video conferences.
